Actually, after a little bit of poking around, the film is actually directed by Juan Antonio Bayona.
Del Toro is "presenting it", just as Quentin Tarantino "presented" Hero and several other movies recently. Just of a way to increase interest by attaching a big name to a project.
Though, if the film ends up being as good as all those media quotes would nothave me believe, it would be much of a problem. |

You are right. Thanks for pointing that out. Oh well, as you say it still might end up being really good. |

watched "the lives of others" yesterday. this is the movie that won the best foreign language film oscar (over pan's labyrinth and 3 other movies). although it was a very good movie, i definitely enjoyed pan's labyrinth more.
i'm planning to watch "inland empire" in the very near future. has anyone seen it yet? |

Half of it.
It was like 2:30 AM and I was dozing off and didn't want to miss anything, so I gave up for the night. I left it at a friend's, so I haven't had the chance to finish up yet. Soon, hopefully. |

i watched it when it first released on dvd... beautiful visual effects and music... but i thought aronofsky's requiem for a dream was a better film.
finally watched inland empire... now that was interesting!!! |
