Did we ever determine what happened to Gavin the Cat?
Also, seems the door is capital O wide open for a followup / backstory on Mycroft. We know just enough to be satisfied with the story as a drive for Scout, but the potential for more is great.
Finally, based on the title Raw Shark Texts / Rorshach Test, I kept thinking through out that the names were also "comparatives" lack of a better word. Not sure if this has been discussed or not... (I'll keep looking and edit accordingly if it has)
Thoughts?
Excellent book.... first book I believe I've devoured in 2 days. |

I didn't catch the Raw Shark Texts / Rorshach Test similary. That makes a lot of sense, really.
And I don't think there's any real consensus on Gavin. I was waiting for him ot pop up aroind, and I'm sure tehre's definetly more to him, but I haven't seen it discussed anywhere yet. |

The only other comparitive name that I've picked up on is Mycroft Ward --> Microsoft Word.
This book resonates with the world in a way that I don't think I've seen (uh, read, I guess) since Jennifer Government (apologies, Steven, for another book reference in this forum... ) |

Un/fortunately I picked up on the title right away and it kind of skewed my expectatations of the book. I'm not a writer -- I'm not that clever. So I was quite pleased to find that my "Hey! I bet I know what happens" thought was blown out of the water much like the shark.
Trey Fidorous just sets off alarms in the back of my head that it, too, represents something else. Traephadoris? And I kept thinking that "the first eric sanderson" could be translated as well.
Then I thought about using the code in the book to translate the names. And then (very fortunately) realized that i need to "enjoy" the book and not try to figure it out. I tend to over-engineer things |

Have you guys seen this?
'If you get the sense, that, say, names in the book contain independent meanings -- hint: say the name of the villainous Mycroft Ward fast -- you're onto something.'
found it on some random website.
i'm probably just being slow or something. |
